Web hosting?

I want to host my web forum.
I have 10000 members and it is a busy site. Also members can upload their own pics into gallery, other than that its all text posts aside from signiture pics etc
so what kind of bandwidth/traffic and web space do i need to buy ?
the last thing i need is to pay for hosting and find that peolple cant post every third week because it has run out..
what do peole recommend, i was looking at unlimited bandwidth, unlimited webspace but i dont know if that is necessay.. is what is the best one to go for ?

thanks

Try theplanet.com, they have cheap dedicated servers.

There is no such thing as unlimited disk space.

I would suggest both Unlimiteds to be on the safe side. ^^ Personally I use 1and1.com for my services they have some nice packages. Also; does your forum have an IRC server? Soem might be inclined to real live chat than a forum ; If not I can help you cuz I have one with umm no users xD

    If your interested email me.

If you are going to run forum site using phpbb2, smf, or vbulletin, then you can select BlueHost as your forum hosting plan. This service is superior with perfect server uptime (over the internet). BlueHost server is fast too, and it don’t cost you much, just $6.95/month. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them. (One of my websites is a forum site)

You can go there through the address below:
    http://bluehost-plan.atspace.com

Here I have copied and pasted its features from their website to view:

    - Multi-awarded
    - Free Domain Forever
    - 600 Gigabyte Hosting Space
    - 6,000 GIGS of Transfer
    - Host UNLIMITED Domains (Support All Domain Names)

I have ran a vbulletin forum myself, using startlogic as my host. They offer 15,000 GB bandwith and 1,500 Gb webspace, a free domain for life and 24/7 support.

I would use these factors to determine bandwith. Forums are most text pages with small avatars ( under 100K). Lets say your 10,000 use an average of 10MB bandwith per visit/ month.(I’ve estimated a little high for this) 10,000X10/ 1024 = 97GB. Some users may use more than 10MB, most will not.

Startlogic offers 15,000 GB Bandwith, which means you could have 10,000 users per day and 10MB each and have 12,090GB bandwith left over per month.

    Whats your current webpage link?

It is always hard to find a good host, especially a good cheap host. Not all hosts have the requirements that you need. A good website that compares hosts and has user reviews and comments is http://www.web-hosting-reviewz.com

I highly suggest you go there before you make your decision

I would go to http://www.web-hosting-pros.com to compare their top web hosts. Their featured host, webhostingpad offers 17,000gb of bandwidth and 1,700 gb of disk space. You won’t need more than this. They are also very cheap.

    Best of luck.
